Camp Restore FAQ

What kind of service might we volunteer?

We seek willing volunteers who will serve with flexibility. Please allow God’s Spirit to move as necessary in the work process and be open to change when you arrive to serve. Each week our work is different because of the constantly-changing homeowner needs and financial abilities. Always remember, you will be serving in an area recovering from a disaster.

Skilled volunteers often help with construction - insulation, hanging drywall, mudding and sanding. Some groups texturize walls or install cabinets or doors. Professional construction workers, plumbers and electricians are always in great demand. Please let us know in advance if you are a professional on your registration forms so we can work to accommodate and make use of your unique skills.

Volunteers who consider themselves unskilled in home construction will often help with our non-construction jobs, which include cleaning and restoring parks, cemeteries and historical sites, visiting nursing homes, youth centers and homeless shelters, and assembling backpacks for the needy.
