Camp Biloxi Tour

Welcome to Camp Biloxi!

Camp Biloxi sits on land surrounding the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd at 1996 Pass Road in Biloxi, MS.

As you enter the camp, you’ll see a green house on the right-hand side. Everyone thinks we’re growing tomatoes here but that’s not the case; this is our construction house where all the activity regarding the planning and preparation for helping rebuild houses takes place. Our construction managers work here and this is where volunteer team leaders report for their jobs when they come to work at the camp.

As we proceed back into the camp you’ll see the “Welcome to Camp Biloxi” sign, followed by our large “tool crib” on the right-hand side. We have a large selection of tools to fully equip volunteers when they arrive; many groups choose to help maintain this preparedness by bringing along tools to donate when they visit. Volunteers who prefer using their own favorite tools are more than welcome to do so as well. Owen Green is our tool crib manager and he takes care of tool checkout and check-in and equipping groups for the day’s work.

Further into camp is a large RV park with 10-15 RV spots available with water and sewage hookups; long-term volunteers are welcome to bring their own RVs and make themselves right at home.

Hot showers and full bathroom facilities are provided via two converted shipping container units provided by Orphan Grain Train. At the back of these units are washer and dryer facilities.

At the back of the camp are 10 climate-controlled dormitory units also provided by OGT that can house about 120 volunteers, a full kitchen and dining facility and a chapel tent.

Finally, in the center of the camp between the dormitories and mess tent is an information station where you can find out about local restaurants and places of interest and entertainment, as well as other assorted information.
